This is the second of seven routes that form a tour from Lands End to John O'Groats. This route visits: Cheddar Gorge, crosses the Clifton Suspension Bridge (Motorised vehicles including motorcycles pay £1 to cross the bridge) then the Severn Bridge (free). It passes Chepstow Castle and visits Tintern Abbey before going over the Gospel Pass, the highest paved road in Wales. The road here is single track but the views make up for it. Then it's onto Whittington Castle and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, one of the most stunning sights of North Wales. From here the route uses the Horseshoe Pass to take you to the end of the route at the famous Ponderosa Cafe with biker-friendly accommodation.
